Andrew Franz founded Andrew Franz Architect in 2003 to pursue the twin goals of design excellence and client collaboration. Andrew believes design should engage and elicit a response in the user through careful consideration of light, materiality, craft, and proportion while linking spaces to their context and the natural environment.

Under his leadership, the firm has grown to take on projects of increasing scope and complexity, including commercial and workplace settings, single- and multi-family dwellings, mixed-use buildings and cultural/arts and nonprofit facilities. His work has received numerous awards and been published nationally and internationally in Architectural Digest, The Architect’s Newspaper, Dwell, Interior Design, Wallpaper, and The New York Times. Andrew is a member of The American Institute of Architects and a LEED accredited professional.
