Autor: Raulino Silva Arquitecto

Raulino Silva lives and works in Vila do Conde, where he was born in 1981.

Architect by the Escola Superior Artística do Porto, he is a member of the Order of Portuguese Architects n.º 15294, and founder of the Raulino Silva Arquitecto Unipessoal Lda.

Between 2006 and 2011, he worked as a freelancer and collaborated with architects in the city of Porto. Since 2011, he has an architecture office in Vila do Conde, where he works with his team of architects, in several single-family, multi-family and equipament projects.

He participated in the LIPAU Architecture Workshop in Bergamo organized by Falcotà de Architettura in Milan and was invited to participate as speaker at the Architecture Conferences of the Vila do Conde Memory Center and in the debate on “Quality” in the Perspective Europe forum 08 in Venice, organized by The Plan Magazine. He presented his projects, also in the Pecha Kucha Night Porto 3, in the Palacete Pinto de Leite, and in the Pecha Kucha Night Lisbon 5 in the Museum of Electricity – EDP Foundation.

The works have already won the following architectural awards: the IF Design Awards 2019 in Germany, the Build Architecture Awards 2019 in England, the World Architecture and Design Awards 2019 in India, the Design and Build Awards 2019 in England, the Global Future Design Awards 2019 in India, the Europe 40 Under 40 Awards 2018 in Greece, the International Architecture Awards 2018 in USA, the Architecture MasterPrize 2018 in USA, the Iconic Awards 2017 in Germany and the Baku International Award 2015 in Azerbaijan.

Senhora da Hora House

The work is inserted in an urban land, in a residential area with several single-family houses on two floors and some buildings of collective housing. The town of Senhora da Hora has a population equivalent to a city, belongs to the municipality of Matosinhos and is very near to the city of Porto, in the north of Portugal.

Touguinha House

The small property, with an accentuated slope on the topography, is located in the main street of Touguinha, a small village in the north of Portugal. On site, there are houses on both sides of the plot terrain, an old stone wall at the back and, at the front, there are some crop fields with a small grove in the middle.
