Woonpioniers was founded in 2015 by architect Daniël Venneman and conceptual designer Arthur van der Lee — driven by a shared conviction that we need to design and build in a holistic ecofriendly way.

We guide community housing groups and co-housing collectives, as well as eco-pioneers — individuals ready to build differently — in designing and realizing homes and living environments that are affordable, sustainable, and community-strengthening. Our work integrates six disciplines: bio-based timber construction, prefabrication, parametric design, nature-inclusive architecture, energy design, and participatory co-creation.

We are working toward a future where sustainable and collective living is the standard, not the exception — and we design and build with one guiding principle: to give more back to the earth than we take.
