José Cadilhe graduated as an architect from the Escola Superior Artística do Porto, Portugal in 2005. His final thesis was awarded the Second Prize for Total Concept Category at The Stoneguard Phoenix Awards Design Competition, London in 2005. Recently, he finished a master degree in Architecture and Urbanism at the Architectural Association School of Architecture – Design Research Laboratory.

His professional experience started in 2006 and in 2009 he founded dIONISO LAB, his own architectural practice. His work has been awarded with national and international prizes and published worldwide. He participated in several exhibitions namely the Lisbon Architecture Triennale: Metropolitan Areas – XXIst Century, in Lisbon 2007, 1st International Exhibit of Architectural College Projects – Urban Renovation in Metropolitan Cities, Aragón, México in 2006 and Um Lugar Para Além do Sítio – Exhibition of Young Architects Awardees in Competitions in Porto, 2006.
