Studied at the TU Berlin, worked in Melbourne with Norman Day Architects, and London with DMWR Architects and Alsop & Lyall Architects.
Matthew Griffin, Architect.
Studied at McGill University in Montreal and at the Architectural Association in London.
Together they founded Deadline Architects in 1993.
Deadline strives to inspire and empower people to create their city themselves. Their practice is focused on realizing built projects together with other engaged citizens. To this end, they have developed a unique field of expertise that combines political activism, project development, process moderation, and architectural design.
Their recently completed project Frizz23 is a groundbreaking example of participative development, which has won serveral awards including the Deutsche Städtebaupreis 2020.
They live and work in Berlin, and are active in various citizens initiatives, including Initiative Stadt Neudenken.
