The library, one part of a larger cultural-complex masterplan, bases itself around a mirrored spherical auditorium which, coupled with the main atrium, forms an eye that gives panoramas of the interior space and reflects the beautiful park in front of the building. Terraced bookshelves echo the sphere throughout the atrium, leading users up into the heart of the library, before continuing around the building as louvres.

The Fading Past

We’ve been lived a happy, unromantic but carefree life. What are left in our mind are extended lane, undisturbed courtyard and the eaves under the blue sky. The doves, staying on or flying over the eaves, are in our memory. Even in the bitter cold winter, the misted morning, in the town and the country as well, was brought to a scroll of poetry.

Luo Fu Shan Shui Museum was a collective “hidden” architecture works (GFA 6100 sqm) built to accommodate private art collections from oriental paintings to sculptures, in parallel to be used as a private leisure club.

The Fairyland Guorui Villa complex is located in the Miyun Economic & Technical Development Zone 1 in Beijing. The site is situated on a plot where two rivers converge, surrounded by natural scenery and mountain views. In order to take full advantage of the location, the layout of the villas follows an open plan organisation.
