Sigurd Larsen is a Berlin based Danish architect working within the fields of architecture and furniture design. The studio was founded in 2010 and has completed projects within the fields of housing, hotel, educational and cultural buildings and will continue to explore new fields. The work of the design studio aims to combine the aesthetics of high quality materials with functional concepts for complex spaces.

Sigurd Larsen has designed furniture for various German, Danish and American design companies that are sold worldwide. A large number of the furniture pieces are available in the FormelA stores in central Berlin and Copenhagen.

Sigurd Larsen has a master degree from The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture in Copenhagen and previously been employed at OMA-Rem Koolhaas in New York, MVRDV in Rotterdam and COBE in Copenhagen.

From 2016 Sigurd Larsen is Professor at Berlin International University of Applied Sciences where building design and visual communication is explored through teaching and research.

From 2011 till 2017 Sigurd Larsen is assistant professor at University of the Arts, Berlin where he teaches architectural design with Professor Enrique Sobejano, co-founder of Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos.

From 2013 to 2015 Sigurd Larsen was Partner in the Danish-German architecture office COBE Berlin. During this time he participated in winning 1st prize in a competition for a house for dance culture in Bordeaux, designing experimental housing for the Berlin Senate as part of the workshop and exhibition Urban Living, designing low cost housing in Senegal as well as gaining several honorable mention and 2nd prizes in various architecture competitions.

Sigurd Larsen is member of the Association of German Architects, BDA and Architektenkammer Berlin.
