PH URBANO 06
Located in a low-density residential area in the neighborhood of Nuñez, this building weaves into the group of detached houses and compensates its notorious height with the light and translucent treatment of its facade at the pedestrian level.
The way in which the sidewalk’s surfacing continues along into the carports and the hallway that serves as a diverging point generates an amiable transition within the composition that adds to the fit austerity of the receding facade. In contrast, the resolution of the units acquires both a synthetic and clearly defined character, while integrating strong formal elements – a smooth continuous play with the lines of handrails, complex planes with ridged rims, inner windows of regular geometries- as well as a variety of materials and fittings of great expressive power: exposed concrete, anodised aluminum window frames, smoothed cement floors, plate folds or wooden decking.
