Eugenio Sue 133 – Pent house

The design was born from restriction, the norm as a guideline, drew up the parameters that along with the idea created a strong volumetry. Seeking for light, the facade became a great crystal box inserted in a limestone monolith which rests on the ground of a dense neighborhood in Mexico City.

Sober materials and of neutral appearance, create interior spaces that aim to distract the daily routine of the city, making the foliage of trees the main view. Natural light in every room is demanded in the layout, obtaining within an urban profile, a design of interior spaces towards the exterior, where privacy requires of all attention.
The immense and, at the same time, narrow city is contrasted with clear and double height spaces enclosed by views of treetops and materials that don’t need much maintenance. The housing project offers a place of refuge within the hectic urban area.
Furniture should have a function and not only saturate the small city space. At the end, the furniture becomes an occupant that will come and go; the interior space is what becomes the main architectonic proposal: a basic and simple aesthetic design.
