Parus Center St. Petersburg

PARUS CENTER is an ultra-modern architectural complex for Saint Petersburg’s new cultural city centre in the Neva Delta, its unique and memorable design is formed by a complex arrangement of curved load-bearing surfaces shaped like sails, creating a bold and dynamic silhouette of a grand ship heading into the open sea.

​The project encompasses over 70,000 square metres of all-season public spaces, including numerous large, state-of-the-art exhibition halls, lecture theatres, auditoriums, concert venues, libraries, and observation platforms located across different levels of the complex.​ The centre’s spaces allow for large-scale events, exhibitions, and broadcasts dedicated to the history and culture of Russia and Saint Petersburg. These will be enhanced by large-format laser projections on the complex’s internal walls and the display of three-dimensional holographic objects and scenes within the central atrium.​

The architectural composition of the complex is deliberately aligned with the cardinal points, ensuring that the central atrium also functions as an ideal panoramic platform for observing sunsets. The façade’s sails are designed to serve as enormous projection screens at the heart of an open-air landscape stage, forming a spectator area along the «amphitheatre» of embankments in the delta of the Bolshaya and Malaya Neva Rivers.
