IFLA Issue #96
The International Federation of Landscape Arquitects has released it's newsletter: "Africa Region - Special Edition".
The process for establishing IFLA’s new African Region was initiated over five years ago with the appointment of an Africa Committee. Previously, African nations that were members of IFLA were a part of the Central Region which was comprised of both the European and African continents. When the European Region was established to focus on the common interests of that area, Africa became an orphan. Then IFLA President, Martha Fajardo appointed a special committee headed by Professor James Taylor. The objective of the committee was to investigate the ways and means to form a new region to serve Africa.
