Mostec Housing
The challenge was to design with the seductive natural surroundings of Koseze Lake at the edge of the city, an environment with a high standard of living, which through its open-ended composition and varying architectural typologies would give a specific identity to the newly designed residential area.
The principal idea was a dynamic composition of architectural volumes without a clearly defined core or firmly delineated borders, which would enable nature to flow freely through the site. Through the project we were looking for a distinctive design resolution, offering a variety of micro-ambiences facilitating identification of the inhabitants with their own units as personal «homes» within an urban fabric. Mostec is a neighborhood that favors neither natural nor built environments exclusively, but rather represents a synthesis of the two in a variety of ways.
