Veech x Veech is a Vienna-based, award-winning multidisciplinary architecture and design practice whose 25 years’ experience integrates architectural & interior design, broadcast studio design, and design engineering services into one comprehensive package.

The scope of their work ranges from high-end broadcast facilities for major networks such as ORF – Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (Vienna, Austria) or Al Jazeera (London, UK) to brandscapes and exhibition design for Red Bull, OPEC, BMW and Swarovski, and from temporary urban installations like the UEFA Euro 2008 Media Tower to buildings including the Al Jazeera Network Studio Building & AJA Newsroom Studio in Doha, Qatar, or the picturesque Artist Studio house located in foothills of the Austrian Alps outside of Vienna.

Despite their striking variety, all of these projects share the essential principles that underpin Veech x Veech’s mission of designing real environments for an increasingly virtual world.

Stuart A. Veech

Managing Partner and Creative Director . Stuart A. Veech is the Creative Director and co-owner of the Vienna-based, award-winning architecture and design firm Veech x Veech.

Stuart studied Urban Design at the University of Cincinnati and later at the Architectural Association in London. Since 1988, he has collaborated with the Russian sculptor Vadim Kosmatschof on large scale art installations throughout Europe. Parallel to his professional work, Stuart has had teaching positions at the Vienna University of Technology, Graz University of Technology and at the University of Innsbruck. From 2007-2009 he was Senior Research Fellow at the Royal College of Art in London and has lectured at numerous international universities and conferences.

In 1993 he founded Veech Media Architecture in Vienna together with Mascha Veech-Kosmatschof which was later re-branded to Veech x Veech in 2014. His visionary work in the field of media architecture over the past 25 years is indicative of his broad understanding of a wide range of design disciplines including architecture, design branding, and state-of-the-art technologies.

Mascha Veech-Kosmatschof

Managing Partner and Principal Architect. Mascha Veech-Kosmatschof is an architect and co-owner of the Vienna-based, award-winning architecture and design firm Veech x Veech.

Mascha studied architecture at the University of Applied Arts Vienna with the Austrian architect Wilhelm Holzbauer and subsequently at the Architectural Association in London with Jan Kaplicky, Ron Herron and Peter Rice, before completing her AA diploma with Zaha Hadid in 1991.

In 1993, she founded Veech Media Architecture, together with Stuart A. Veech, as a multi-disciplinary studio bringing infusing architecture, broadcast media and product design disciplines into one comprehensive package. The company, which re-branded to Veech x Veech in 2014, has realized projects in cities across the globe, such as Vienna, London, Doha, Moscow, Tel Aviv, and Tangier.

From 2001 to 2015, parallel to her design work, Mascha was an assistant professor at the Institute of Architectural Design of the University of Applied Arts Vienna, teaching alongside Zaha Hadid. Her research there focused on complex urban geometries, digital prototyping and parametric design. Mascha was the editor-in-chief of numerous publications of Studio Hadid Vienna and curated the Studio’s exhibitions at the Museum of Architecture in Moscow (MUAR) and the Künstlerhaus in Vienna.

Mascha is a registered member of the Austrian Chamber of Architects and Consulting Engineers in Vienna.
