Autor: Aldo Amoretti

Graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1992, Aldo Amoretti worked as an architect until 2005 and won numerous prizes in national and international competitions.

In 2005, Amoretti started his free-lance photographer work.

Amoretti has been collaborating with various international architects such as Peter Zumthor, BIG Bjarke Ingels, Snhoetta, Auer Weber, J.L Mateo, amongst others.

In 2017, he won the worldwide Architizer A+Award with his photographs of Peter Zumthor’s Mine Zinc Museum in Sauda Norway.
In 2018 he was one of the five finalists of the international Architectural Photography Awards.

In 2019, he won the A+Award in both categories with his images of BIG’s Amager Ressource Center in Copenhagen.
In 2020  he won the third prize at the IPA International Photography Awards Lucie Fundation, New York.

His architectural photographs have been published in major architecture magazine such as The Architectural Review, Casabella, Detail, Abitare, and others.

His work has been exhibited in international exhibitions such as Biennale Venice, La Gelerie d’Architecture in Paris, National Museum Architecture in Oslo, amongst others.
