ROUND AROUND

Conceptual multi-brand space called ROUND AROUND has opened in the very centre of Kazan, republic of Tatarstan. The project has become the first collaborative product of Studio Slow, famous niche street-style showroom.

The overall aesthetics of the interior are based on bright contrasts. The basis of the interior is set by red-pink Rosso Iran travertine and combinations of glossy orange, ivory and lime. The play of geometric shapes, breaking surfaces into fragments and reuniting them into one-of-a-kind colour compositions, fills the interior with energy and creates a bright mood.

In contrast to the excellent location, the showroom premise itself turned out to be quite problematic from an architectural point of view. During the process, the design team had to find a delicate solution to hide the extremely low ceilings (2 meters only). It was possible to achieve a visual expansion of the space using mirrored ceiling panels. Thus, the concept was based on the idea of ​​​​transforming a small room into a spectacular gallery, where every piece of clothing or footwear works as an exhibit.

Custom rails made of blackened metal are placed alongside the perimeter of the main hall; they set specific rhythm in the whole composition. The main supporting column was not left alone and transformed into additional open stand, with built-in asymmetrical shelves in a gradient varnish, where shoes and accessories can also be stored. Lacquered wood, tables made from recycled materials from local brands, and armchairs in bright upholstery set up a unique atmosphere.
