Penthouse Greenstyle

GREENSTYLE is a next-generation residential complex combining technology, sustainability, and well-being, with a strong focus on energy efficiency and resident quality of life.

ENTRANCE

The penthouse entrance opens directly onto a large panoramic window, immediately drawing guests toward the terrace. At its center, a planter filled with evergreen species creates a focal point, around which all rooms are arranged.

The south-facing terrace offers wide panoramic views, ensuring constant connection with the outdoors. Residents enjoy sunlight from dawn to dusk and seasonal changes framed by a majestic row of poplars — a natural, ever-changing backdrop.

In the evening, perimeter LED lighting transforms the space, making it usable and welcoming after sunset — ideal for relaxation or outdoor entertaining.

MULTIFUNCTIONAL OPEN SPACE

The living area is a spacious, multifunctional open space with seamless flow between the living room and dining zone. Daily activities — from cooking and dining to relaxation and socializing — unfold here. A double-sided sofa allows flexible arrangements: facing the TV (on a dual-function shelf) or oriented toward the terrace, blending indoor and outdoor spaces.

The Wunderkammer living room reflects the homeowners’ personal tastes through curated objects: travel finds, flea-market discoveries, and industrial vintage pieces. Highlights include recycled artworks (e.g., a motorcycle tank transformed into a mallard duck) and a lamp-container for treasured items. A collection of robots — new or crafted from reclaimed materials — adorns a dark-stained walnut shelf.

The combination of new and repurposed elements is evident in the furnishings. For instance, there’s a coffee table made from a birch log topped with brass, an airline trolley transformed into a multi-level display and storage area for a collection of Porsche model cars—one of the homeowner’s personal passions. Additionally, a large 1930s French industrial metal cabinet with drop-down doors serves as a storage solution for books and other items, allowing for a flexible configuration depending on which panels are opened or closed. A green swivel armchair, discovered at a flea market and restored by a historic upholsterer in Brianza, has become the favorite spot for guests, including pets. All the furniture and objects showcase the homeowners’ passion for design and personalization, resulting in a unique space that continues to evolve over time.

The dining and kitchen area is minimal and designed to blend in as seamlessly as possible with the ceramic slab wall, just like the storage unit to the right of the table. This unit conceals a built-in workspace with shelves and drawers for preparing meals and cocktails.

The ceramic wall in the kitchen conceals a flush-to-wall door that leads to the study/guest room — the only colored room in the entire interior — perfect for working remotely or relaxing in an armchair while reading.

MASTER BEDROOM

The master bedroom is a multifunctional suite. A floor-to-ceiling tilt door (echoing the study’s green-blue hue) opens to reveal visual continuity enhanced by recessed LED molding tracing the apartment’s perimeter—from the living area through the corridor to the bedroom and en-suite bathroom.

A wooden shelf serves dual purposes: storage (customized for his/hers) and a practical desk. A pouf made from a distressed black tree trunk provides seating.

High-low volume interplay recurs between the shelf and a ceramic bench in the walk-in closet area. This bench extends beyond smoked glass into the shower. The same glass acts as a scenic partition behind the bed’s headboard, concealing the walk-in closet until internal spotlights illuminate it “magically.”

Iron furniture features curated industrial relics: a 1950s Royal Navy cabinet and a 1940s Polish military chest of drawers. Desert-cactus wallpaper echoes the terrace’s greenery, linking interior and exterior. A nightstand combines an old metal filing cabinet with repurposed chair legs.

BATHROOM

A concrete wall hides a flush door to the en-suite bathroom, fully clad in floor-to-ceiling tiles. The door — mirrored internally — opens toward the walk-in closet, merging function and decor.

Opposite, a second bathroom’s flush door includes a circular pet passage, allowing free terrace access via a cat flap in the perimeter wall.

The living and sleeping areas connect via a hallway clad in wooden slat acoustic panels with coat hooks.

SMART TECHNOLOGIES

Advanced home automation centralizes control of lighting, climate, and shutters via smartphone/tablet. Custom lighting scenarios, remote intercom access, and real-time energy monitoring are included. Smart speaker integration enables voice commands for comfort and optimized consumption.

MATERIALS & LIGHTING

A restrained material palette emphasizes spatial continuity: uniform parquet flooring; two ceramic types repeated in kitchen, shelves, bathrooms, and terrace; full-length wooden acoustic slats; and brass rods accenting concrete-effect walls.

“The moodboard of the house is quite warm and rather brutalist: concrete walls, wooden elements, and unique ceramics with a very material effect”, says Alessandro Castello.

State-of-the-art lighting features directional, intensity-adjustable recessed spotlights and dimmable perimeter LEDs. Decorative lamps add character.
