Xizhimen Port ApartmentIn the Xizhimen Boyu project, facing the dual challenges of limited space and lighting requirements, we chose to break through the limitations with innovation. Lighting is not only a functional requirement, but also a key factor that affects the emotions and experiences of residents. Therefore, we broke with convention and rethought the original structure by cleverly adding lighting surfaces to the east-west shear walls, achieving a breakthrough design of four sided lighting. This meticulous renovation not only solves the problem of lighting in the rooms, but also fills each space with the warmth and vitality of natural light, significantly enhancing the comfort and happiness of living…. -

TONGTAI SCHOOLTongtai School is located in Ningjin County, Hebei Province.It was funded and built by a socially responsible local enterprise, and contains educational facilities from kindergarten and primary school to middle and high school.The important starting point of the design of this project is for its moderate ecological restoration and positive rational utilization.
.We rationally explore and reflect on how the current school design norms adapt to the new education model.This creates a shared resource platform between the school and the community, and the active use of a specific brick kiln site as a historical context, reshaping the connection between the architectural landscape and the urban space…. -
