The White Gallery House

In our first meeting with the client he showed us his art collection which he has been building for more than 20 years. He asked us to design, for him and his family, a home that would be able to place equal importance on its function as a home but also to display, within the homes various rooms and spaces, in a natural fashion and as a backdrop to day to day family life, pieces from his collection.

Roccolo’s swimming pool

The client's requirement was for a pavilion to be connected to the main historic house causing the least visual interference with the surrounding parkland. The pavilion was for an indoor pool, and some space for fitness, service and leasure in a climate controlled space.

Casa Vale de Margem

Casa Vale de Margem is a single storey farmhouse located in a rural part of the Algarve, an extremely sensitive area to work in as part of the land is classified Agricultural Protection Zone. The studio believed that the intervention should be balanced harmoniously and above all integrated with the surrounding open countryside.

Silver House

Kefallinia. Cephalonia. The island was even described by Homer in ancient times. Its backbone culminates in a peak 1,628m high, in the midst of the Ionian Sea. Seen from the mainland, it surges out of the blue depths in an intense light, often coiffed with a veil of clouds. So when the opportunity arose to build a house facing this spectacle, the choice was obvious. The subject would of course be the island, framed by the house.

This single-family house is built in a village in the suburbs of a famous medieval town, Škofja Loka in Slovenia. The house was built as a replacement structure on the site of a former farm building, which formed the eastern side of a farm courtyard.
