DDM Architectuur

Dirk De Meyer obtained a Master Degree in Architecture at KU Leuven – Faculty of Architecture Campus Sint-Lucas Ghent in 1993 (B) and studied at the Royal Academy in Kopenhagen (DK) in 1992 and 1994.

He gained first experience in the studio of Achiel Hutsebaut and in 1995 he started his own practice ‘DDM.architectuur’ in Belgium, followed in 2003 by a branch in Shanghai that moved to Chongqing in 2012.

In 2006 he founded ‘BATarchitectuur’, a multi-disciplinary design team working on projects in Asia.

The strength of the studio lies in its capacity to control the complete process from first sketch to the last detail. This approach guarantees the highest quality in design and construction coordination for the most demanding private, public and corporate clients.

This is achieved by meticulous technical detailing combined with a relentless effort for quantity and quality control throughout the whole process.

Since 2014 Dirk De Meyer is a guest-professor at the architecture faculty of Zhengzhou University. Besides that he has lectured and has been a guest critic for competitions and studios in various universities and cities in China and Belgium.

His personal focus is on the planning, design and construction of private as well as public buildings. The team also works as a local partner for foreign architects with projects in Belgium.

Madeleine Blanchfield Architects

At MBA we love design and are especially passionate about houses.

We are a studio of 8 architects and interior designers based in Paddington since 2009.

Our work is bespoke and carefully crafted. The goal is always to deliver beautiful, elegant and timeless spaces. Our architecture has integrity and depth. We work hard to resolve complex design issues and achieve a result that has clarity and is unencumbered. Through cohesive landscapes and interiors we bring warmth and joy to each space.

We like to deliver an entire home, from conception to completion, and to work with the client in a collaborative way to draw out the unique and personal traits that make a house a home. We strive to create architecture that elevates peoples mood and spirit. It has clarity, is flooded with sun, light and is responsive to the client’s brief. We always start with spatial planning and test options rather than assume that the first one will be the best or force a form onto a house.

We embrace new technologies and systems whenever we can and build proven sustainable principles into the core of our designs. We consistently focus on light, volume and capturing a sense of the extraordinary in our houses. Graceful integration of landscape and interiors is fundamental to achieving this.

We approach each project anew and it is very important to us that the whole team has a positive and enjoyable experience, culminating in creation of individual places that resonate with the client’s own personal style and are a pleasure to be in.

Castellino Arquitectos
