RIVUE Supreme Villas

An award-winning architectural bureau Kerimov Architects designed a Rivue project featuring five unique villas located in the most prestigious neighborhood of private residences in Jurmala, Latvia. Rivera, a known Latvian property developer, is building the project.

CONTEXT

The site borders the Lielupe River and a historical wood meadow providing privacy and a feeling of harmony with nature. At the same time, it has the entire necessary infrastructure for a comfortable life, including accessibility to the transport hubs, best schools, sports centers, restaurants, and other facilities.

Rivue stands for R – retreat, I – integration, V – views, U – uniqueness, and E – exquisiteness. The main objective of the project is to balance between nature and technology, urban and natural environments providing the best living experience.

ARCHITECTURE & INTERIOR

Each villa will be defined by individual architecture in a style and philosophy Kerimov Architects is famous for: each place should have its own architecture. The first villa of 780 sq. m is situated along the riverfront, bordering a public park. The main challenge of the project was to build a three-story country house on a fairly compact building site without it appearing too tall, bulky, and massive.

The design of the villa is characterized by the rhythmic interplay of transparent and opaque elements, dark and light contrasts, vertical and horizontal lines, as well as carefully balanced volumes and heights. This results in a visually striking architectural composition that blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings.

The materials used such as wood and architectural concrete correlate with the natural and urban context.

“The design of Rivue was influenced by the natural surroundings, with nature itself guiding our decisions. When creating the architectural concept, we considered all aspects of the Jurmala landscape as well as the cultural and historical elements. This has resulted in the development of a unique Rivue DNA code, which will only grow in value over time,” stated Shamsudin Kerimov, the lead architect of the project and founder of Kerimov Architects.

The residential interiors offer spacious living areas starting from 200 sq. m, comprising 5 to 8 bedrooms, 2 distinct living rooms, a home office, a home cinema, a SPA and Jacuzzi, as well as a home gym. Residents also have access to the private yacht club and a car lounge, a comfortable and aesthetically reinterpreted version of traditional parking.

The first Rivue villa is scheduled to be operated in spring 2025.-
