The brief went beyond designing a single space, aiming instead to define the DNA of a future network of specialised fitness centres.

Alongside a strong architectural identity, the project set out to create a unisex gym defined by calm and clarity, moving away from the sensory overload typically associated with this typology.

The gym is conceived as an architectural Meccano: a system of prefabricated, powder-coated elements assembled dry on site, allowing the space to be built, dismantled and reconfigured over time. Rather than a fixed object, the architecture operates as an adaptable framework—capable of evolving without losing coherence, and of being replicated across different contexts.

The layout is organised into two main zones: floor training and strength training. To separate them without breaking spatial continuity, a single material is used throughout: perforated metal sheeting. Reinterpreted from its industrial origins, it becomes a contemporary filtering device that structures space through a sequence of semi-transparent layers. As light moves through the perforations, it animates the interior with shifting shadows and reflections, subtly marking the passage of time and activity.

Both zones coexist within a continuous, open and balanced environment. Privacy is achieved through gradation rather than enclosure, preserving a sense of unity and focus.

A restrained material palette reinforces the project’s identity: Melongelb RAL 1028 brings warmth and energy to the structure, technical white enhances brightness and spatial clarity, and electric blue introduces a precise graphic accent within the communication elements.

On the façade, this logic extends outward through a double skin of perforated metal that filters the relationship with the city. Signage emerges from folded metal elements, forming a three-dimensional expression that shifts with light and viewpoint. A continuous illuminated band completes the façade, connecting the interior activity with the urban flow.
