Brisa House
Located on a plot with a steep slope at the very beginning of the lot, the project started from establishing a starting point there, without changing its topography.
With a buried plateau, which houses the social areas of the house, the structure supports a large linear structure that houses the bedrooms. To take advantage of the spectacular view of a preserved area on one side and hills on the other, white metal trusses open almost completely to the horizon.
The interior of the state of São Paulo, where Casa Brisa is located, has high temperatures all year long. Thus, sustainability and the best resource management were a must in this project. The project has solar panels for water-heating and power in its roof, as well as an upper garden (a natural thermal regulator) and water reuse.
To offer thermal comfort and an architecture of the highest quality, the trio of architects plays with the concept of external and internal spaces: a sequence of tiles and metal trellises cover semi-open gardens, offering refuge during the summer, and a structure that instigates those who observe the house from different angles throughout the day.
