Academy of the Jewish Museum Berlin in the Eric F. Ross building
El Museo Judío de Berlín es una construcción de una sola planta de 25.000 pies cuadrados ubicada en el sitio del Blumengrossmarkt. El edificio ofrecerá programas públicos junto con una biblioteca, una oficina complementaria, zonas de almacenamiento y espacios de apoyo para el Museo.
La Academia se integrará en el conjunto histórico de Kollegienhaus y la extensión JMB. Un cubo inclinado penetra en la pared exterior de la sala creando una contrapartida de la entrada principal del JMB y de la extensión del edificio en el otro lado de la calle Linden. La forma y el diseño del cubo tiene una conexión estética con el JMB’s Garden of Exile, así como con la Glass Court. El proyecto está siendo realizado por el arquitecto Daniel Libeskind Architekt AG (ADL) con el Studio Daniel Libeskind (SDL).

The Jewish Museum Berlin is constructing a one floor 25,000 square foot academy on the site of the Blumengrossmarkt in the existing hall. It will offer public programs together with a library, additional office, storage and support spaces for the Museum.
The Academy will be integrated into the ensemble of historical Kollegienhaus and the JMB Extension. A tilted cube penetrates the outer wall of the hall creating a counterpart to the JMB main entrance and the Extension building on the other side of Linden Street. The shape and design of the cube forms an aesthetic connection to the JMB’s Garden of Exile as well as the Glass Court. The project is being realized by Architekt Daniel Libeskind AG (ADL) with Studio Daniel Libeskind (SDL).
