Born in 1980. Graduated from Musashino Art University. As artist / art director, Rikako produces a series of work entitled «Human Nature» exploring themes such as the relationship between humans and nature and the original state of mind of humans as natural existence, and presents them in various venues and media including the following: 2011 Human Nature_water mirror (@gallery rocket), Human Nature_cotton dress (@laforet museum) / 2012 Human Nature_wire / 2013 Human Nature_house plant (ELLE japon), Human Nature_gem stone (@GGG gallery), Human Nature_between “SS/AW” and “seasons” (@GGG gallery ) / 2014 Human Nature_CIRCLE and RECYCLE (@ PASS THE BATON GALLERY) / 2015 Human Nature_This is wind (BRUTUS), Human Nature_Slow cloth (@ISETAN) / 2017 Human Nature (@GYRE) / 2018 Human Nature_Musubi (@clinic)

As graphic designer, Rikako designs perceptual information as a mediator communicating ideas behind the subject to public, while questioning existing points of view and aiming to contribute to renewing existing values. Her major design projects include: Sapporo International Art Festival 2014 under the theme of «city and nature»; Textile design for Louis Vuitton Scarf made of Japanese organic cotton and hand printing technique; Night Crusing, a documentary film about a story of movie making by a congenitally blind actor/director;

Tohoku Youth Orchestra, an orchestra consisting of children from the prefectures devastated by the Tohoku Great Earthquake; Anish Kapoor’s Outline of Collapse, artist Anish Kapoor’s exhibition; Community, Fantasy, Future, architecture collective ASSEMBLE’s exhibition; also engaged in anti-nuclear projects including PEACE SHADOW PROJECT in collaboration with artist Tatsuo Miyajima and YMO / NO NUKES 2012, recording of a live performance by Yellow Magic Orchestra.
